Friday we drove to the Great Smokey Mountains. It was a beautiful drive. We all walked up to the look out tower(it takes longer to walk up than down), well Avery and Addison rode in strollers(I know this is the last vacation Avery will be in a stroller), it was hard work pushing the strollers, but well worth it.

After we left the Mountains we went and did some shopping, eating and more walking. We also went to a Nascar track where a good time was had by all. The big kids got to drive some cars while Avery, Addison, Carol and I watched. We saw PaPa take someone out Jeremy win the race and and than we all watched Avery drive a car and see him get taken out. It was a fun time.

Saturday we drove to Ashville NC to see the Biltmore House. It was beautiful, but the kids did not find it as fun/interesting. So Nate and I only went through the 1st floor and then out to the gardens while everyone else went through the house. After the gardens we went to the winery. We only went to the gift store, but we got some good wines. Once we left the Biltmore we went to down town Ashville and shopped and ate. When we got back to the hotel Nate, Carol, Lindsey, Avery, and Addison went swimming.

Sunday we were suppose to leave, but due to the airport fun we decided to stay an extra day, Lindsey and Jeremy still had to leave, so the rest of us did some shopping at the outlet mall and drove through the Mountain on our way to Knoxville. We stopped and played in the river, the boys had lots of fun and we got to see 4 teens get baptised(very cool). Once we got to Knoxville and in the hotel the boys went swimming with Mike and Carol.
Monday of course was another airport day(by the way the boys did a great job with all of these and we had lots of people tell us how good they were) and spent the night in Chicago. Once we got to the hotel the boys found the pool and wanted to go. I told them that they were the only ones with swim suits(the rest of us checked our bags and were not able to get them), so we would not be able to swim. However Carol and Mike did have their suits because of swimming the night before the suits got put into their carry on, so Avery and Addison were happy to be in the pool. Once Nate got to the hotel(he was trying to get all of our bags off the plane) we all walked over to a store and got deodorant and toothbrushes(the hotel was out of them). Avery and Addison both fell asleep while at the store around 5:00pm. Once we were back pizza was ordered and eaten. Addison woke up long enough to have some pizza and see the storm come in. The storm was a tornado. It did not come our way, but the sirens still went off. Once we heard them Nate called down to the front desk and asked what were we to do and they told us to just stay in the room. The T.V. had gone off and the Internet was not going very well, so Nate called people in Tulsa to have them get online and see and tell us what was going on. All ended fine and Avery did not wake till the next morning.

Even thou we had problems with the Airline we did not have it as bad as some who had to sleep in the airport. Very thankful for that.
