Avery's Parent Teacher Conference

Thursday Nate and I went to Avery's parent teacher conference. Mrs. A had nothing but good things to say. He received S's in every area except fine motor(coloring). He received an N(needs experience) and she said it was only because he gets in a hurray to get done. I can just picture Mrs. A going through what they need to do and when they finish they can go somewhere else and Avery wanting to finish to move on. He picks up one color and colors the entire picture/page that color. She also mentioned that they might recommend K1 next year because of his late summer birthday, but they really would not know till March or April. I am okay with this if he really needs a growth year, but not if it is just because of his birthday. He is also a transfer student, so all of the K1 spots go to students in the district first. Therefore he may not even have a spot if needed. Please keep him and his teacher in your prayers that the right decision is made and if he needs a spot that one will be open.
