Just came back from the NICU. Asher is still about the same. He is now on just room oxygen. They started feeding him through a tube today. He still has his c-pap to help with his breathing. Still saying 3 to 5 days, he has to work all the stuff out of his lungs, be able to drink from a bottle, and hold his own heat before he gets to go home.

Just got to hold Asher for the first time since Sunday(good for my heart). He is now off the c-pap(well it is still in his bed just incase). He is not taking to his feedings that well. Hoping now that he is off the c-pap that will help.

Asher is making baby steps each day. He is in an open bed, but now under a bilirubin light(for jaundice). He will be tested tomorrow to see how his levels are and if he needs to stay under the light or not. They have uped his feedings to about 2 tsps., but he still has some residual. They have lowered his nasal cannula from 2 liters to 1 liter. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes!!

Took Avery to school for his first day of first grade. Went to see Asher and got to hold him. He got lots of kisses and gave us lots of smiles. Addison is enjoying having daddy, mommy, and the house to himself.

Asher is off the bili light. His jaundice levels will be checked tomorrow. His food amounts are increased at each feeding. He is bottle feed as long as his breathing is not too fast. Plans are to take him off his IV at 11:00pm if he is able to eat well. Nana, Papa, & Grandma got to hold him tonight. Nate & I got to feed him. Avery & Addison got to touch & kiss him. He is off his nasal cannula. It has been a good day!
